As the country celebrates the Fourth of July, the nation’s top track cyclists from around the country head to the Velo Sports Center in Carson, Calif. to compete in the 2019 USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships. Athletes competing include World Record Holder Ashton Lambie (Lincoln, Neb.), World Champions Jennifer Valente (San Diego, Calif.) and Kimberly Geist (Allentown, Pa.) and up and coming Junior riders like Megan Jastrab (Apple Valley, Calif.) and JeanLuc Contant-Gallitello (Coconut Creek, Fla.).
Racing kicks off with the Team Pursuit qualifying rounds where we are sure to see names like Lambie, Eric Young (Geneva, Ill.), Gavin Hoover (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) Colby Lange (Vail Valley, Colo.) and Danny Summerhill (Centennial Colo.) on the men’s side as well as Valente, Geist, Christina Birch (Los Angeles), Jastrab and others for the women.
