Ever since Megan can remember, she has been outside, playing sports, and riding bikes. She started racing road in 2014 when she was 12 years old.
The USA Cycling Road Nationals in Madison, Wisconsin was the start to her first year of racing. She won two national titles in the Time Trial and Road Race, and placed 2nd in the Criterium.
In 2016, she guest rode for the Amy D Foundation at the Redlands Bicycle Classic. She placed 2nd in the criterium by winning the field sprint, opening up new opportunities for Megan.
In 2018, Megan attended a USA Cycling Track Talent ID Camp at the Olympic Training Center. A few months later, she walked away with 5 jerseys, one National Record, and one silver at the Junior Track Nationals
2019 turned out to be even more of an incredible year for Megan. She was able to win Stage 2 of the Redlands showing that she was able to perform against the best riders in the country at only 17 years old.
Afterwards, she traveled to Europe with the USA Cycling National Team to race the Nation Cups for the junior women. This turned out to be a very successful trip for her. She won Trofeo Binda; two stages, the overall, and the points competition at the Healthy Aging Tour, she placed 2nd at Ghent Wevelgem, and also placed 2nd on the other stage at the Healthy Aging Tour.
Later in the year, she raced the Junior Track World Championships where she was the first American woman to win the Junior Omnium World Title. She also claimed the Junior World Title in the Madison with Zoe Ta-Perez, both racing their first year as juniors. To top it all off, she won the Junior Women’s Road Race at the Road World Championships in Yorkshire That’s THREE World Championship win within a month of eachother.
In between her World Champs success, Megan started at Milligan University as a double major in Business & Exercise Science. She won the Individual and Team Pursuit Collegiate Nationals as a freshman.
It was back on the track in 2020 where she raced her first Track World Cup in Milton, Canada. Megan raced the Madison with track team veteran Jennifer Valente where they placed 3rd.
Now, Megan is on the Track Olympic Long Team. At only 18 years old, she has been living at the Olympic Training Center, taking classes online with Milligan, working to make her Olympic dreams come true. And it’s only the beginning for Megan! She just signed her first World Tour contract with Team Sunweb.
