COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Cycling previously announced their partnership with BikeReg, the leading provider of online registration services for cycling events, to implement new registration tools for USA Cycling events and participants. After integrating technology and developing additional services and resources for participants and event directors, these new features launch today.
“Our goal was to partner with USA Cycling to develop a complete and robust set of tools for race directors and participants,” said BikeReg CEO Ross Krause. “In addition, we wanted to create a simpler process for new and existing USA Cycling sanctioned events and their participants. We’re now excited to launch these tools and help grow the sport.”
New functionality will integrate with USA Cycling’s membership database to provide for real time verification of categories, age and gender, allowing participants to have the most accurate registration experience. Another enhancement is the online waiver, now being offered on the BikeReg platform. This feature will eliminate the hassle of on-site paperwork and reduce the time and labor of sorting and storing paper waivers. Event Directors will be able to actively monitor and manage those participants who have not signed the waiver and reach out via email automatically from their BikeReg account.
“Our customers will instantly see the benefits of the BikeReg/USA Cycling partnership. Between the convenience of online waivers and participant tools, we now have a strong product offering to our new and existing event directors, as well as their participants,” said Chuck Hodge, USA Cycling Chief of Racing and Events.
The partnership of USA Cycling and BikeReg will provide a robust offering to all event directors, including integrated permitting and registration, leading insurance protections, and license/permit verification. Future functionality will include the ability to seamlessly import past participant data, survey tools and social media support and geo-targeted email campaigns and other event services.
“Our partnership with BikeReg helps us provide meaningful tools and resources to support bucket list events and enhance the experience for first-time ride participants, passionate racers and elites across the U.S.,'' said Rob DeMartini, USA Cycling President and CEO.
In addition, participants who register through BikeReg will have the opportunity to sign up for exclusive training information and tips from USA Cycling National Team members and certified USA Cycling coaches.
