USA Cycling to host a new High School Cycling Festival, collegiate fair and High School Mountain Bike National Championship as part of the commitment to support youth cycling at all levels and across all disciplines.

USA Cycling today announced a new High School Cycling Festival to take place July 8 – 11, 2021 in Winter Park, Colorado. The festival, open to all high school riders and their families, will provide opportunities to participate in ride events, seminars, and clinics; meet college and university representatives, and represent their schools in the High School Mountain Bike National Championships.

Championing the Growth of Cycling in the United States

USA Cycling believes in being a champion for the future of cycling in the US, and by making youth riding a priority, USA Cycling is stepping up to support the popularity and growth of the sport for future Olympians and World Champions.

As USA Cycling looks forward to the Olympics in Tokyo, the organization is embarking on new strategic initiatives to champion all riders, racers, and fans.

“Youth cycling is a major initiative for USA Cycling, and we are excited to embrace and leverage our position as champions for the sport to produce an event that supports high school riders in charting their path forward”, said Rob DeMartini, CEO of USA Cycling. “Adding the High School Cycling Festival to our calendar is an important step forward in USA Cycling’s mission to provide events, opportunity, and development for young riders.”

The High School Cycling Festival

The event will take place on July 8 – 11, 2021 in Winter Park, Colorado. Special ride events for high school aged riders and their families will take place throughout the weekend alongside the High School Mountain Bike National Championship where riders will contend for individual and team titles. The event will include a collegiate fair with nation-wide participation from colleges, universities, and collegiate conferences, giving families the chance to learn about collegiate cycling programs and opportunities. Families and riders of all disciplines, levels, and abilities are invited to attend and participate.
