USA Cycling is proud to announce their new partnership with Skratch Labs, an innovator in sports nutrition. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Skratch Labs was founded by two cycling pros, Dr. Allen Lim and Ian MacGregor, who spent years on the Pro Cycling Tour watching teammates eat and suffer through bad-tasting sports “nutrition” that ruined their stomachs. So they did something about it. Skratch Labs started offering a “secret drink mix” of real sugar, electrolytes, and fruit powder, with the goal of helping pro cyclists feel better and ride faster. And it did. Nearly a decade later, Skratch Labs’ approach is the same: help athletes perform better by solving their nutrition problems, without causing new ones, using real food ingredients.
Skratch will become the Official Hydration Drink, Recovery Drink, Energy Bar, Energy Chew, and Rice Cake Sponsor of USA Cycling.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Skratch Labs on our team dedicated to championing athlete performances,” said Bouker Pool, Chief Commercial Officer. “Skratch is bringing their unmatched nutrition products and expertise to help our National Team and Olympic Development Academy programs.”
Skratch will also provide USA Cycling athletes and coaches with access to Skratch Labs’ in-house certified nutritionist and will work with the team to develop products to keep athletes performing at their maximum potential.
“Our singular goal is to help athletes perform better whether that’s through our products, coaching, training camps, or specific nutrition guidance. Through USA Cycling, we can directly support a huge group of elite American athletes and find ways to add real performance value,” said Dr. Allen Lim, founder of Skratch Labs. “We all want to see more Americans on world stage podiums and we’re thrilled to contribute towards that mission.”
USA Cycling Members, Clubs and Certified Coaches will receive a yearly, single-use 20% discount on an entire order from skratchlabs.com.
